Happy Monday Y’all!
It has been quite the holiday and I am feeling quite exhausted! However, I am very thankful to have taken time off from blogging, just be able to enjoy the holiday and have a little time to myself! I love writing and interacting with you all on a daily/ weekly basis, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed and uninspired, which leads to poor quality, that I am just not proud of. So, I decided to take a little over a week off and spend time with Jay and my family.
Although the Christmas is over [how did it go by so fast?], I still wanted to share my holiday table setting with you, before jumping into New Year posts, because I am just so obsessed with my holiday tablewear from Lenox! Last year, my mom and my aunt began my Lenox holiday collection and I am beyond in love with it! The gold rim and holly details send me over the moon. They are so timeless and incorporate color while still retaining simplicity, which is definitely a requirement for me! Another one of my aunts gave me a vase that goes with this collection this year. I can’t wait to continue building my collection and hopefully put it to use next year in our new home [if you would like to see a home update, I would love to share one, just let me know].
For the tablescape, I decided to add a Whitman’s chocolate boxes and airplane liquor bottles to add a little fun to each plate, and who doesn’t love a little chocolate and a good cocktail? I always struggle with wanting to incorporate gold and silver into my holiday decor, while still having lot’s of beautiful red tones, so I attempted to incorporate both and think I did alright!
I hope that you had a restful and blessed holiday with your family and friends! I look forward to being more present!
I have definitely over indulged one too many times this holiday and really need to do a little detox very soon. What are your trick for recovering from the holidays!
