Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation!

Today I went to my local makeup counter to repurchase my foundation. I decided to do a post because I would probably say that this is my most favorite foundation. I have tried several foundations over the years and I would have to say that I have repurchased this one the most! If you have read my previous post then you would know that I have very broken out, acne prone skin. This foundation covers my acne well without being to heavy. I would say that the foundation is medium to full coverage. I like the coverage because I have a lot to cover lol. Throughout the day I have trouble with my makeup sort of melting off and/or my skin becoming very oily. I do feel like this foundation keeps that problem at bay.
The bottle contains 30ml/1.0 FL OZ of product.

I am the color “Warm Ivory”.

Swatches:

Blended most of the way in.

I purchased my foundation at Norstrom. (I know, I do most of my shopping there. lol)
Lately, this foundation has worked best for me! If you have anymore questions about this foundation or would like a post on application please leave them in the comments below! Have a fun and safe Friday!

Clarisonic: “Mia 2”

Lately I have been having more trouble than usual with my acne. So, today I was thinking about what my next trial product would be to use to get rid of my acne and I thought why not do a blog post on my Clarisonic.
“Pink Mia 2”
First off, I wanted to say that I am not a dermatologist in anyway, nor am I trying to be one. (lol) But I just wanted to share how much I love my clarisonic with you guys! I have struggled with acne since I first became a teen, but the past two years have been significantly different. Two years ago my acne became really, REALLY, bad. I went to a dermatologist to try to find a cure. They put me on acne medication that worked great. After a year I decided that I couldn’t be that bad, so I stopped taking it. Needless to say, IT IS THAT BAD:( So for the past three months I have tried many different systems and cleansers trying to find one that works for me. None of them do. So I have an appointment with a different dermatologist in October and hopefully they will be able to help me.

Now, this isn’t one of those remarkable stories where I am going to tell you that the Clarisonic completely cleared my acne because it didn’t. But, after using this gadget since this past Christmas and a little before, I can honestly say that I love it! My Mia makes my face feel so clean! I know they are expensive, but to me, it is absolutely, positively, completely worth the money! This is like a mini at-home facial that is easy to use and takes minimal time. In all honesty, after using my Clarisonic, washing my face with my hands seems to leave my face dirty and oily. There is NOTHING like the feeling that this will leave on your skin. I have really oily skin and this makes it feel amazing. My skins does not feel oily at all, it is not dry, it feels tight, and really clean. I love it. I recommend this to anyone. It cleans deep into the skin to help remove any little trace of makeup or dirt. It can prevent acne caused by trapped dirt in pores, but I wouldn’t say that it will clear hormonal acne or anything like that.

The only problem that I have discovered with the Clarisonic is that sometimes, if my acne is really bad and I use it morning and night day after day, my skin an become a little sensitive and burn. That’s the only problem though.
Some important facts about the Clarisonic that I didn’t know for a long time are
1.) Even if you are using cleanser on your brush and/or face every time you use it, it is still      important to use soap to wash the brush in between washing your face. Bacteria can be on the brush and then applied back to the face. I use scent free soap or sometimes my cleanser, just something to clean the brush.
2.) Also, it is very important to replace your brush head after three months!

My nail color is OPI : Lincoln Park After Dark

I recently purchased the “Acne Head” for my Clarisonic. I have not seen a significant difference in my face since the change. This brush is softer than the normal one and is more gentle on my skin and  problem areas.

I have found that I need to wash my face using my hands first to remove all of my makeup and then use my Clarisonic to clean deep into my pores!
I purchased my Mia 2 Clarisonic at Nordstrom
P.S. – If you have found any Acne Cleansing Systems or spot treatment (anything that has helped you with acne), please leave a comment for me telling me what it is so I can try it out!

  • Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo PluginReplyCancel

Left: Body Scrub
Right: Hand Creme

Today I wanted to tell you a little bit about my new favorite bath  & body products!  This collection by Laura Mercier  is just amazing. My favorite scent out of the collection is the Creme de Pistache ( hence why I own this one lol). I can not do this product justice in describing just how yummy it smells! I only own two of the products in this collection because they are a little on the pricey side, or at least what I would consider pricey.  But after using these two, I must say they are well worth the money you will spend. Back in the winter a salesperson at my counter gave me a sample of the hand creme in Fresh Fig. I’m not going to lie, it made me itch (literally). So that kind of turned me off to the whole collection for a while. Until a few months ago when I watched  thecurrentcustom’s video on these products. It sparked my interest again on the collection and I am so glad it did! This time I decided to go purchase the body scrub, in the scent creme de pistache,  just to give it a try.

This body scrub is hands down my favorite body scrub I have EVER used. It smells so delicious. I just like to sit and smell it sometimes (lol).  I often find that most body scrubs leave this nasty, oily residue that I just can not stand ( I already have oily skin, I don’t want to make it any worse!). This one however, leaves NO residue (which is awesome)! Another problem that I have found with body scrubs is that they can either be to rough or not rough enough, this one however is neither! It has just enough texture to exfoliate skin without being too rough. At the same time is has a kind of creamy, whipped consistency that feels moisturizing on the skin. I highly recommend this body scrub, it is amazing.

Although the body scrub is great, I do not really feel as if you get your money’s worth out of the hand creme. It smells just as good as the body scrub and feels great on your hands. But, if you are looking for a more thick or repairing hand creme this would not be suited for you. To me the consistency of this hand creme is more like a lotion than a creme. It’s not that I don’t like the creme, because I do, I just don’t feel like it is worth $15.

This collection comes in five different scents: Creme de Pistache, Creme Brulee, Fresh Fig, Almond Coconut Milk, and Ambre Vanille.  I bought my products at Nordstrom. I cannot wait to try the rest of the collection!

It’s that time of year again, back to school. Some people dread this time of year, but others often like it ( or like back to school SHOPPING). I was trying to decided what my first blog post would be when I thought, why not share my favorite tote bag for this fall. My new school bag is this Marc by Marc Jacobs tote bag. It is so comfortable to carry and hold everything I need! It has many great pockets on the inside and out to hold thing (such as pens, pencils, water, calculator, and etc..).  It also has cute accents, like the knots on the handles and the Marc Jacobs logo pattern on the inside of the bag. The material of the bag allows water to repel off of it ( I found out the other day when it was pouring!). These bags are stylish and comfortable to carry. It is fashionable but not too trendy, therefore it will be in style as long as it lasts! Which is probably going to be a long time as well made as it is. I believe that even though this bag was a little pricey for a school bag it was money well spent. It is great quality and very pretty. I will be using this bag a lot this school year!
Back of the bag.
It is also available in different sizes, colors, and patterns. I purchased my bag from Nordstrom.

Side of the bag.
Each side of the bag has a pocket like this. I put a bottle of water in one side and my calculator in the other!

Inside of the bag.
There is one zip pocket and to small open pockets for pencils and such.
