It’s been about a month since our last update and primarily the only thing hat that changed has been our floors. I like to try to keep things positive, but the amount of stress and frustration have dealt with from Dominion Power has me at my breaking point. So for now, let’s just say that nothing has been able to be done because they have taken FOREVER to get us power. It’s honestly ridiculous, but I am going to move on, because we are FINALLY getting power today. I will save the frustration discussion for a later date, because its not worth the time or effort!

On a happier note, the floors look absolutely stunning! While they have not been sanded, or stained, they are completely fastened to the floor in every room except our entry. The entry area will be herringbone, so they are going to install that at the very end, once everything else is complete and we are ready to sand and stain! I’m so grateful for the way everything is turning out and I’m so happy that we chose to do all hardwood floors, they look absolutely stunning.  We have pretty much chosen our stain color, however I want to wait until its completed to share that with you!

In the last home series post, I shared a couple of pain color swatches. You can see we decided to go with the light grey, blue, color. Now, what you see in the pictures is only the primer coat, so there will be a few more coats before you can see the true color.

Updates…

Hardwood floors have been installed

Bluestone on porches

Tile backer board is down

We officially have power

Tile will begin being laid on Monday

Crown molding, Trim and interior door installation will begin next week

I’m finally ordering light fixtures today [Also, I’m adding this in so I HAVE to do it. Holding myself to it!]

What’s Next…

Installing our garage doors

Fixtures [Lighting and Plumbing]

Cabinets

Crown Molding, Trim, etc.,

Appliances

Things are more exciting now that we are working on the cosmetics of the interior and finishing up the exterior of our home. I feel like you can finally see more progress and I’m always snapping away whenever we visit our home! So, be sure to follow me on snapchat [timelesstaste] and Instagram, I share all of our home pictures to #futureparlettresidence. We are off to our house this morning so I will definitely be sharing some pictures and videos on snapchat this morning!

I hope you have a great weekend and be sure to check out the rest of my home posts HERE, to follow along with our journey!
