Healthy School Snacks

 

I honestly have been holding out, as long as I can, before posting any Back To School content. I must say, I am not one to get all excited about going to school. However, it is my last year of college [at least for now] so I should be pretty excited! It’s back to school for me on Wednesday so I thought what a better time then to share this post!

One thing that get’s me excited, about really anything, is food! I’m from the South and I looove to eat. So I always have food handy, especially during the school year. Running from class to class, all over campus, can be tiring and work up quite an appetite. I’m sure you know exactly what I am talking about! So today I wanted to share a few of my favorite snacks, that happen to be pretty healthy [in my opinion] for us!

1.  Luna Bar

I’m sure you have heard about this Luna Bar, many times, however it is at the top of my list all year around! The Chocolate Peppermint Stick tastes just like a Thin Mint GSC. What could be better? Plus, these bars are made to contain lot’s of goodies that us women need! It’s basically like a a match made is heaven. I love to keep these with me and sometimes even just grab one for breakfast because they are so filling!

2. Sargento Balanced Breaks

I’m not sure if I haven’t mention yet how much I love cheese, but if I haven’t here you go. I. LOVE. CHEESE. These Sargento snacks are the perfect pick me up providing both a little tasty cheese with some nuts and delicious dried fruit! These are my newest go to snack and also so filling! The Natural Sharp Cheddar Cheese with Cashews and Cranberries is my favorite!I love a fruit, nut and cheese combo. But, it always seems like when the snack comes prepackaged, something just isn’t good so I end up eating one thing and throwing the rest away. This one is NOT like that at all! The whole package is delicious!

3. Mamma Chia Chia Squeeze

While we are talking about fruit, we have to talk about these Mamma Chia Squeezes! This is like the perfect fruit pudding. It is super yummy and has easy on the go packaging! They are always nice and cold and the chia seeds keep me full! Plus, they are easy to eat while walking, driving, and anything else you can think of! The Blackberry Bliss is my favorite!

4.  Kind Bar

If I am going for a snack bar, I always go for Kinda Bars! They are so crunchy and usually have chocolate or peanut butter [need I say more]. I love how the taste of these are incredible and I can see and read every ingredient! That’s right, no sneaky fillers or added substances. What you see is what you get! They have so many wonderful flavors but I always seem to reach for the Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew.

5. Chobani Greek Yogurt

I have an on going love/hate relationship with yogurt. When I love it I love it and when I don’t, well I just have a hard time stomaching it. Homemade yogurt is my absolute favorite, however mom doesn’t make that everyday! [I could share her recipe if you would like?!] But the next best thing is Chobani Indulgent’s! Like the name says, these are more indulgent, but are still great for an afternoon pick-me-up. Banana and Dark Chocolate is the best because… well I don’t even have to explain!
