Recipes

Lately, I have been positing my smoothie on Instagram and have gotten a few questions about what I like to include in my green smoothie! I love this smoothie because it has helped me cut back on the amount of sugar I am consuming in a smoothie and helps me get some added greens that I don’t usually reach for throughout the day.

Fab 4 Green Smoothie Recipe

Kelly LeVeque has taken celebrities and celebrity bloggers by storm over the past few years. I originally purchased this book back in 2018, I believe, and over the past couple of years have slowly shifted my smoothie to match her Fab Four concept. While I don’t follow the entire lifestyle plan, I love this book for her smoothie recipes and references.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love an indulgent smoothie, but on the daily I prefer to drink this one. Even Jay likes it!

Fab 4 Green Smoothie Recipe

Fab Four Green Smoothie Recipe

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Handful of spinach (I like to be generous and add a ton because I can’t taste it at all!)

2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter

1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds

1/4 cup Blueberries (I usually just grab a handful)

1-2 Cups of Almond Milk

Blend, blend, blend in your favorite blender.

Also, because I am in my third trimester of pregnancy right now, I have been adding two dates to my smoothie! It definitely increases the sugar, but its good for the third trimester and adds some sweetness if you need it!

I pretty much have this recipe down and have a little routine, so there is little mess and measuring! Here is what I do… Use a table spoon, from my kitchen flatware set, to measure chia seeds first. Then, I use the same spoon to measure my peanut butter. Grab handfuls of spinach and blueberries and use my blender to measure my almond milk. My least favorite part about smoothies is having a whole lot of mess to clean up. This way, I only have my glass, the blender, and a spoon! Plus, my favorite glass straws that aren’t essential but make drinking my green smoothie that much more enjoyable and chic! They are a great amazon find. For this post, I decided to shoot this smoothie in a mason jar and there is just something about a smoothie in a mason jar that makes you feel good!

Thank you so much for stopping by! You can also check out Kelly Leveque’s new cookbook here. I can’t wait to buy it!
