This week has flown by so quickly, I don’t even know what hit me! The time change has kept me confused and quite busy, because I have been constantly be running late [AKA I overslept yesterday morning, thank you Jay for calling to wake me up!] I will say that the time change was much needed, and has given me an extra pep in my step, toward the afternoon hours! This extra daylight has encouraged me to work a little longer into the evening and just be thankful for every bit of sunlight we have gotten this week [which has been a very generous amount!] With “extra” time on my hands, I have been able to begin my Spring cleaning, which makes me over the moon happy. I seriously love a clean space, but somehow manage to clutter every corner of my life, over and over, again.
With lot’s of sunlight, pretty blooms, and a determined/positive attitude I decided to tackle cleaning my makeup brushes. Let me first start by explaining to you just how much I dread cleaning my brushes. My little cousin [how did she grow up so fast?] can totally vouch for me. Last time she was over helping me get my life together organized, she decided to tackle cleaning my brushes, because they were just that bad. And let me tell you, cleaning them is never easy. I hate to admit this, but I always put off cleaning my brushes for as long as possible [ewww, I know thats bad] because cleaning them is such a hassle. Thankfully, I was introduced to the Brush Guard and their cleaning kit. They have completely changed the game! Their cleaning system, and guards, have made cleaning your brushes so quick and easy that I have officially lost my excuse for not cleaning my brushes on a regular basis. I am not kidding. Their system is so easy to use and is SO effective!
I used to spend forever soaping up my brush, rubbing them with my hands, or a wash cloth, to attempt to remove all of the old makeup and dirt. The process ended up taking so long and I often mistreated my brushes along the way. Allowing my brushes to dry was an additional struggle. Because allowing water to seep into the actual base of the brush can cause damage, you don’t want to place you brushes face up when they are drying, but placing them bristles down can flatten, and damage, the hair on the brush also! I feel like it can be a failing situation! To solve this problem using the Brush Guard, slide the guard over your brushes and place them in your cup face down. This allows for the brushes to dry completely with no water trapped in them at all. It also shapes the brush while they drying! Seriously I cannot rave about this process enough, they are so great y’all, I promise!
The cleaning process is so quick and easy, but still cares for your brushes while you are doing so. My brushes were left squeaky clean, and dry, in no time. I have no problem investing in quality, but the problem comes when I invest an don’t care for those items. If you invest in your makeup brushes, be sure to take care of them and clean them well. The Brush Guard is an affordable investment [everything on their site is under $39] that will make your makeup brushes last!
