Happy New Year!!
I can’t believe the new year is already upon us, and I am so excited. I know I have mentioned just how wonderful 2015
has been was, and I share a few of my favorite posts from the year, but I just wanted to take a second to reflect on some things that I am thankful for from this now previous year. While my 2016 goals are still in the works, [I will be sharing those soon], I have grown to believe that taking time to understand and appreciate situations and my actions from the previous year, is almost better than jumping straight into completely changing my life in the new year. I am so thankful for everything 2015 brought to me, and I feel like I have grown so much as a person, and that Jay and I have both grown together. Some of my highlights from 2015 would be..
Family and Health– Jay and I have the pleasure of us both having such wonderful families! I honesty could not ask for better families on either side. From the beginning, Jay’s family has welcomed me and treated me as family and I am so thankful because I know some people are not as lucky as me to have such wonderful family like Jay’s! I am also thankful for the health of my family, and the healing God has shown to us in 2015. For some family members it has not been an easier year, but his continues love and healing has brought us through it and I know they will continue to become healthier each day.
Jay’s New Job– I am so thankful that we have been financially blessed, but most importantly that Jay has had the opportunity to transition his career. I have mentioned before that Jay was a firefighter, and he will always be a volunteer, but this year he was able to leave his job as a full-time paid firefighter and actually be home on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. I loving having Jay home, because there is no one I would rather spend my time with, but I know that he loves being home and with his family and he is now able to do that more!
Engagement– This is definitely at the top of my favorite moments of 2015. It needs no explanation, but I couldn’t be more excited that Jay want’s me to be his wife and that we get to spend the rest of our lives together! [see our engagement post here and our engagement party post here]
Our Home– We have had so many amazing blessings in our life this year, but the opportunity to build our own home [as our first home] is beyond our dreams! I am so excited to share an update post [like this one] on how our progress is going and discuss some details on decision making! I Just can’t until we get to picking out things for the inside!
Timeless Taste– 2015 was a big year for Timeless Taste and it’s transition to a new, update, and beautiful website! I hope to make a few tweaks and continuously learn and grow in 2016, to bring your better content. It’s amazing how over the years I have changed so much. I have gone front he girl who couldn’t stand writing an essay for class to finding sitting down at my computer to write out a blogpost therapeutic. From new friendships, to opportunities with dream brands, to finding joy in the never ending learning process, I am so happy to be able to write this site and to have each one of you read it! It is such a dream. A dream that I pray to continue to grow and expand in the new year.
I know I have said before just how thankful I am for you all, but I truly cannot say it enough! My goal is to grow this site and bring new exciting things in the new year. But, I would love if you would leave a comment, send me an email, or contact me on social media, to let me know what you would like to see more of in the new year on Timeless Taste. What do you like to read about? What would you like to know more about? Is there anything you would like for me to change? I would just love to know your thoughts and ideas. I love having the opportunity to talk to you and your feedback is greatly appreciated!
I hope that your new year is off to a great start! I pray that you each have a year of joy, happiness, and health!
A Thankful Reflection
