If you have followed my blog, or Instagram, for any amount of time, you have probably seen my little bug [Diesel/Worm] and my sweet girl Roz quite a bit! I am a complete sucker for these little babes, and being a puppy mama has been more rewarding to me, than I could have ever imagined. They have been my best friends, my crying pillow, and a constant joy in my life for the past several years. I still can’t grasp that Worm will be 6 in November [I don’t want my baby to grow up ;(]. Because these pups are so wonderful to me, I can only do my best to provide them with the best life I can! I am so excited to share with you The Best Way to Spoil Your Pup! I want to thank WAGS Pet Care for sponsoring this post and giving me the opportunity to share their service with you! Just keep reading to find our more about WAGS!
This post has been on my list for a while now and I’m so excited to finally be able to share with you some of Roz and Worm’s favorites and some chic dog accessories to spoil your pup with, because we all know they deserve it! These days Diesel, and Roz, spend a good majority of their time napping. Diesel is just a
little lazy, and Roz is no longer able to use her back legs, so she struggles to get around and is often tired after traveling a short distance. These pups are faithful to their Orvis Dog Beds, yes I said “beds” because they each have their own [I told you they are spoiled!] The memory foam in these beds is easy on your dogs bones, and perfect for that afternoon cat dog-nap! If you visit our house, any time of the day, you are most like to find our babies on their beds!
I am also obsessed with this bed! How chic?!
Roz was never really crazy about toys, however Diesel loved him from the moment we brought him home! He has always been into things other peoples belongings and taking things that aren’t his! We has brought home so many toys and he even brought home the neighbors sippy-cup with juice in it! So we have had to try to teach him, not to steal others belongings, and provide him with his own toys to play with. I have to say, he has desire to live on the edge, because the toys we buy him are never his favorites, he likes them SO much better if they are stolen! Has your pup ever stolen another dogs toys?! We usually pick up the most heavy duty toy we can find at our Tractor Supply, but I have linked the cutes ones here [how cute is the donut] , and here!
When it comes to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we have tried many different foods over the years. Roz can be quite the picky eater, so finding something that spikes her appetite [other than filet mignon] can be troublesome. Their newest, and probably all time favorite is Blue Buffalo. We buy the dry food and mix in about 1 tablespoon of wet food per meal, and let me tell you, they go crazy! Both of our dogs love the Blue formula and I couldn’t be happier that they love it so much. Diesel’s coat has become so much shinier, and even softer, since we switched his diet to Blue. I can even notice a different in his energy levels. He seems to be more active than he has been in the past and my heart loves to see him run and play! Even though we try to keep them on a good diet, they still are quite impatient when it comes to treat time. You can’t even say the word “treat” in our house, unless you are prepared to stop what you are doing, get up, and go them a treat. They will not leave you alone until you give them one! So I suggest not saying the “t” word, unless you have one handy [haha!] Their favorite Treats are the Peanut Butter Dog Treats from Trader Joes. They adore these and I honestly can’t blame them! They smell just like graham crackers and I’m almost convinced that they secretly really are graham crackers. Because they are so big we generally them up into smaller pieces, and give them to the pups whenever they come in from using the bathroom, or when they are just bugging us because they haven’t had one in the past 15 minutes, lol!
Because they like to eat so much, we try to make sure they stay active, or at least Diesel stays as active as we can get him to be [like I said, naps are his favorite-well seconded to treats!] So I love going outside to throw his frisbees, a stick or just go for a walk with him! He loves to run around and play in our pond and spend time with the neighbors dog Molly. They are secretly boyfriend and girlfriend, but it’s kind of obvious these days. They love to spend their time together playing, and getting into all kinds of trouble, but they are just so cute!
Whenever I have the time, I love to take Diesel to our new house, let him walk around, and explore his future home! We also love to take him to the beach, local parks, or any other areas that we can just go for a long stroll, soak up the sunshine, and get some exercise together! In addition to all of the fun puppy accessories, I wanted to share a list of some local places in the Hampton Roads area that are puppy friendly and the perfect place to take your pup for a walk in the Spring sunshine! You can take smaller dogs many more places than big dogs, which is kind sad. But, I still jump at any opportunity to take Diesel out for a stroll!

It’s important to remember that some locations have laws for when you can bring your pet and whether or not they need to be on a leash! When you bring your pet out and about, be sure to bring everything thing they need [leash, water, treats, pick-up bags] so they aren’t uncomfortable and stay hydrated!
Sometimes our lives get so crazy, and our to-do list is a mile long [I am still figuring out, an accurate way to tackle mine], but we should never put the health of our pets on the back burner! Maybe you work full time, are a full time student, and have to leave straight from school to go to work, don’t forget about your puppet home who needs care! There is no need to add another stress to your busy life, this is where WAGS Pet Care steps in to save the day [or maybe your carpet or couch, from that pup that needs to potty!] WAGS provides pet sitting for times when you are out of town, and don’t want your pet to sit in a kennel. If your anything like me, the thought of sending your pet to the vet to stay, while you are out of town gives you nightmares! When you hire WAGS Pet Care, Michael and Cindy will visit your pet, let them out, play with them, administer any medications they need, and be sure that your babies are staying happy and healthy while you can’t be with them! I don’t know about you, but I would much rather WAGS care for my pup, versus sending them to a kennel ;( In addition, WAGS offers Dog Walking and Potty Breaks. Michael and Cindy have created a service, they are passionate about, to ensure that our pets get the care they need, when our lives prevent us from being at home!
