The turn of a new season always makes me so happy and hopeful for what the future holds. There is nothing quite like feeling of the sun’s warmth on your skin, for the first time in months, and seeing its rays fall from the sky in the evening during a warm sunset. I love that the days are longer and I am able to get more done. The first thing that I love to do, when the days get warmer, is clean and organize my space! I love updating different areas, throughout my home, with spring decor and declutter areas that are a little too busy. Spring is the perfect time to check yourself, and your home, to ensure that you are making space for gratitude, simplicity and happiness. Are you taking quiet time for yourself? Maybe your space just needs a little revamp to get your feeling inspired and motivated for the new season. Right now is my favorite time, of the year, to just take a moment and really update my home for Spring.

8 Ways to Refresh Your Home For Spring
Nothing makes me more at ease than seeing lively plants, thriving in our home. For the past several years, I have added many new plants to my bedroom, at my parents house, and now into our new home. Plants bring a such a peaceful and relaxing aesthetic to any space. There are so many plant options, that provide different appearances, meanings and vibes. Find which plant is best for you. I have been obsessed with my Fiddle Leaf Fig but I still love smaller plants, that are tucked away, in my home just as much.

Spring cleaning didn’t get its name for any old reason. It always serves a purpose! Now is the perfect time to clear your counters, dresser tops, desks and more. Give them a good wipe down, discard anything you aren’t using and display your items in an appealing manner. It’s unbelievable just how much clearer my mind is when I am surrounded with clean spaces and surfaces. You will probably see a major spike in your energy when you just clean things off. Don’t wait!
My initial thought for the focal point of this category, was cookbooks. After giving it a little more thought, why not swap more books, than just your cookbooks? Pull out your lighter colored cookbooks that are filled with recipes that use in season ingredients. I love flipping through inspiring home design books and now is the perfect time to pick up a new self help book.
Overhaul Outdoor Spaces
One of my favorite things about Spring is that nature comes back to life and is full of color, and fresh blooms! Springs the perfect time to take a weekend to revamp your outdoor space. Try adding some lanterns, fresh pillows to your benches and new potted plants always make a difference! I also like swapping out garden flags for something a little more fresh and you can add a beautiful Spring wreath to your door!
The perfect fragrance always makes the season pop. Candles are my favorite way to smell up my home with a nice scent, so I love swapping out my heavier candles for something a little lighter and more spring-ish. Baies, or Mimosa, from Diptyque are my favorites, but this candle is their newest rival and is definitely winning in my kitchen right now!
I know that I already mentioned plants, so I will keep this short and sweet. Add fresh flowers! I try to always keeps some sort of fresh flowers in our home. Whether it’s a simple bundle of rosemary, or a beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers, I like to keep something in our kitchen, or bedroom, at all times.
Blankets and Pillows
It’s important to swap out your throw blankets and pillows for the new season. Not only will it prolong their life, but giving them some rest, chances are you will really enjoy something lighter for Spring. Light blues, greys, and shades of lavender are great for spring. It’s also a good idea to pick materials that are going to be lightweight, and comfortable, on your skin in the warmer months. No one wants a fur throw blanket on the sofa in June!
This category speaks for itself. Nothing sings Spring more than fresh white linens, dishware, wardrobes and nail polish! Try incorporating more white into your everyday life. I love our white dishware and having a clean white linens on our bed. I feel so chic and relaxed. Isn’t that what Spring is all about?
