I always find it funny how I went from never reading, like not even my require school reading, to picking up a book whenever I have free time. It’s also interesting that business and personal development books are my favorites because most people enjoy reading something a little more relaxing! Not me. When I’m reading, I prefer something that is going to help me improve where I am lacking, something that is going to encourage me and push me forward on my journey. Hence my personal development book selection.
Last year, I shared my favorite personal development books and podcasts with you here on the blog. Both of those posts have been pretty popular so I thought I would share some of the business and personal development books that are on my reading list for this year. You could probably guess that I already have a few books under my belt for this year, which I will share in a post soon. For now, I thought I would share some of the books that are on my list to read soon!
5 Business and Personal Development Books On My Reading List
Many of the personal development books on this list come recommended by other bloggers and business owners. My mom, and aunts, have been on to me for years about reading Dale Carnegie books. Tony Robbins and Dale Carnegie are both well-known experts, and authors, on personal development, self-help, and self-improvement. They have both written several books on this topic, which I hope to make my way through over the years. Public Speaking is something that I have never really been great at but hopes to improve on over the next few years.
After graduating college, I began working at home and not getting out that often. I have noticed that my communication skills have slowly begun to decrease over the past two years. As a blogger and someone who strives to help others live the beautiful life they seek to live, I need to be able to communicate my thoughts, ideas, and opinions effectively. I personally believe my journey in studying personal development all began in my second to last semester in college when taking a communication course. We read this book and ever since I have been obsessed and concerned with learning more about myself and my weaknesses.
I would love to know what business and personal development books are on your list to read this year. Do you have a favorite motivational speaker? Let me know in a comment! I am always seeking new inspiration.
